1.These Billing Guidelines Beta Services Terms (BG Beta Terms) apply specifically to your use of Billing Guidelines while it is labelled “Beta” (BG Beta Services) and apply in addition to the LawVu Terms and Conditions (or other agreement between you and LawVu governing your use of the LawVu services). To the extent of any inconsistency, these BG Beta Terms will prevail.

2.These BG Beta Terms commence on the date we enable your use of the BG Beta Services and remain in effect for a period of three (3) months (BG Beta Period) or as extended by LawVu in its sole discretion. The BG Beta Services will be provided at no cost to you during the BG Beta Period. You must use the BG Beta Services in accordance with all reasonable instructions provided by us. We may impose limits on certain features, introduce an Acceptable User Policy or restrict your access to part or all the BG Beta Services without notice or liability.

3.We use technology provided or hosted by Microsoft Azure (AzureAI) in the United States and the European Union to provide the BG Beta Services features and functionality. You must not use the BG Beta Services in a manner that is prohibited by law, to violate the rights of others or in a manner that is harmful to others, or other in a manner that violates the AzureAI Code of Conduct, including the Acceptable Use Policy for Online Services.

4. Any outputs generated from the use of the BG Beta Services (Outputs) cannot be relied upon as any form of legal or other advice. We provide the BG Beta Services on an “as is” basis and without warranty of any kind. We will not be liable to you for damages of any kind, except in respect of losses that cannot be legally limited or excluded under law, related to your use of the BG Beta Services.

5. As between you and LawVu, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you retain ownership rights in all User Data (as defined in the LawVu Terms and Conditions) and Outputs of the BG Beta Services. We do not permit third parties to use your User Data or Outputs to improve or train any artificial intelligence and machine learning models, including the BG Beta Services.

6. Subject to paragraph 5, for the duration of the BG Beta Period, you agree to provide LawVu and its authorised personnel (limited to members of the product development team) access to view and test the Billing Guidelines functionality using the underlying data retrieved and used by the BG Beta Services to produce the Outputs (including Invoices, Approved Timekeeper Rates, and Billing Guidelines), as well as the Outputs generated through your use of the BG Beta Services. This access is strictly for the purpose of reviewing, improving the Billing Guidelines functionality, and performing quality assurance. LawVu will process this data in Australia and ensure that all access is managed in accordance with its Security Policy.
