Before you start a review, review rules must first be created. These are typically set up by administrators or knowledge managers and then shared across the team.
Once configured, the rules allow you to automatically review documents against predefined requirements. To learn how to create and manage these rules, see this article.
You can also convert rule sets into checklists if you prefer a more manual workflow.
Note: The "Review Document" icon may not be visible if your administrator has disabled it or if no review rules have been configured.
Before you start
LawVu Draft works directly with your open Microsoft Word document.
Make sure you open your document in Word first.
If you want to review a PDF file, convert it to Word first. You can do this by uploading the PDF in LawVu Draft, which will automatically convert it into a DOCX file for review.
Step 1: Select a review set
Choose the set of rules you want to apply to your document.
Each review set contains a group of predefined checks. Select one and continue.
Step 2: Choose rules
By default, all rules in the selected set are included. You can deselect any that are not relevant.
You can also add an ad hoc rule. This allows you to include a temporary requirement specific to your current review.
Step 3: Run the review
Start the review to analyse your document against the selected rules.
If multiple AI models are available, you can choose which one to use.
You can hover over the info-icon at the right side of each reviewing result to see the body of the rule:
Step 5: Review the results
Results are displayed as they are generated. Each rule is assigned a status:
You can:
View the rule details
Jump to the relevant text in your document
Add your own assessment or status
You can also improve your document directly from the results. Select text in your document and click Rewrite selected text to automatically redraft it so it better aligns with the rule and any associated guidance.
Step 6: Export
Once the review is complete, you can:
Export the results as a report
Export them as a checklist for further manual review
