Send clause to curator & Curator inbox

A curator is a teammate responsible for reviewing and finalising clauses submitted by others. Curators are responsible for maintaining clause quality and consistency.

Admins assign curators in Manage Users by enabling the Curator role for selected users.

In this article:

Send clause to curator

Instead of adding a clause yourself, you can send it to a curator for review.

The easiest way to start is by selecting one or more paragraphs in Microsoft Word. LawVu Draft will analyse the selected text and pre-fill the clause creation form for you.

In the Send clause to curator dialog:

  • Select a Curator

  • Add a Title and Body

  • Optionally include an Internal note for context

You can also send a clause to yourself if you want to review it later.

If you need to add more context, you can switch to Full mode.

This lets you enrich your clause with extra details like keywords, description, attributes, or comments. It’s especially useful when you want to give the curator more background or make the clause easier to find later.

You can also decide to save this clause directly to a specific library so that you can easily retrieve it later.

The clause name will also be picked up automatically and used as a summary or keywords, so you don’t need to repeat it manually.

Curator Inbox

If you are appointed as a curator, then you receive the clause-related messages sent by your colleagues in your inbox.

Next time you open LawVu Draft, the software will see how many messages are waiting in your inbox:

When you then click on the Import button, the body and title will be imported into the clause addition dialog box described above.

The Note will not be imported, as it is considered a merely internal hint at the curator. When done, you can click on the trash icon to remove the message.
