LawVu has introduced new enhancements to the contract upload feature, offering you greater flexibility in managing your contracts. Whether you are a new or existing customer, this guide will walk you through the steps to upload and manage new contract versions at any stage of their lifecycle.
If you are a new customer the new workflow will already be enabled.
If you are an existing customer you will need to opt-in. Contact your Customer Success representative or the Support team through the live chat in LawVu and we will enable this for you.
How to upload a new version of the contract file
Navigate to the contract: Go to the specific contract's Overview tab.
Click 'Replace': On the right-hand side, click the 'Replace' button.
3. Upload the file: A modal will appear. Select the new contract file you wish to upload.
4. Add a comment: If applicable, add a comment that will notify other contract members via email and in-app notifications, depending on their settings.
Uploading an unsigned version of the contract file
Approval Workflows:
If no approval workflows are in progress, the new version will be uploaded directly.
If approval workflows are in progress, choose whether to reset the approval workflow or keep it as is. A comment is mandatory in this scenario.

Any comment you add while uploading a new version of the contract file will be emailed to the contract members and will also be visible in the contract's Activity tab:
Uploading a signed version of the contract file
When you upload a signed contract version while the contract is in the 'Signed' stage, it will automatically move to the 'Executed' stage. If the contract is already in the 'Executed' stage, you can still replace the contract file without affecting its current stage.
Viewing the different versions of a contract
After uploading a new version, you can easily track the different versions of the contract. To do this:
Click the 'Version' button.
The current version will be highlighted in green.
Previous versions will be displayed in yellow for easy identification.
Remember, keeping your contract versions up to date ensures that everyone involved has access to the latest information, reducing the risk of errors and miscommunication
