LawVu is designed to be implemented quickly and efficiently.

Most organizations successfully configure their workflows, integrations, and settings using a single Production environment. This keeps things simple, secure, and easy to manage.

This article explains:

Standard setup: production environment

By default, LawVu provides one Production environment per organization.

All configuration, workflows, and integrations are set up and managed directly in this environment.

Why this works well

  • Faster implementation
There’s no need to duplicate setup work across multiple environments.

  • Simpler governance
One environment means one source of truth for configuration and data.

  • Lower operational overhead
Reduces the risk of environments becoming out of sync or misconfigured.

For most organizations, this setup provides everything needed for a smooth and successful rollout.

Optional add-on: sandbox / UAT environment

If your team needs a separate space for testing or validation, LawVu can provide one additional environment, commonly referred to as Sandbox or UAT.

Important things to know

  • Only one additional environment can be provisioned per client.

  • Sandbox environments are available on request and are billable.

  • LawVu does not support automated environment cloning.

    • Any configuration created in Sandbox must be manually recreated in Production.

  • Data imports are not supported in non-production environments

Sandbox environment lifecycle

Sandbox environments are intended for short-term use during implementation.

  • The default duration is up to six months.

  • After this period, the Sandbox environment will be decommissioned.

  • Extensions can be arranged if needed

    • These require additional engineering effort and infrastructure, and incur extra costs

Next steps

If you believe your project requires an additional environment:

  1. Discuss your requirements with your LawVu account manager.

  2. Review the additional effort and costs involved

  3. Confirm the business justification (for example, compliance or complex integrations)
