Whenever you create a matter or contract, it will use 'fields' to store most of the data around that matter.
LawVu ships with a set of default fields that cover most of the common use cases, but we also let you create your own custom fields so you can store data specific to your organization.
In this article:
The field library
The field library stores all of the master fields that are available whenever you create matters. These include LawVu default fields as well as any custom fields that you create.
To access the field library, go to Settings > Field management > Field library settings
The flow of information
Fields are created and live in the 'Field library'.
Instances of these fields can then be dragged from the Field library and applied to 'Matter types' or 'Contract types'
Whenever a new matter or contract is created, it will inherit the fields from its parent Matter/Contract type.
Getting Started
