Overview

Managers and owners may find themselves needing to grant certain users visibility of a particular matter or contract, without providing them with complete access like other members. In such cases, Limited Member access can prove beneficial as it allows access without imposing full restrictions on the entire matter or contract.

By accessing the Members tab, you can locate the Access Level dropdown menu, which grants you the ability to give limited access to designated users.

Limited member access to matters

When a member has limited access, they have read-only access to matter details.

Users with limited access:

  • will NOT be able to update the matter name or fields

  • can navigate to the Files tab, where they can view files uploaded by other members and also upload or delete their own files

  • are only authorized to manage the tasks that are assigned to them

  • can participate in discussions on the matter through Conversations

Limited member access to contracts

When a member has limited access, they have read-only access to Contract Overview details. Users with limited access:

  • will NOT be able to update the contract name and fields

  • will NOT have the ability to update the contract with new versions or change its lifecycle stage

  • can access the Files tab where they can see files added by other users as well as upload and delete their own files

  • can add key dates

  • engage in Conversations within the contract
