What is Copilot

LawVu's Copilot plugin is an extension of our Microsoft Teams integration that allows you to use natural language to query records within your legal workspace. With Copilot, you can quickly retrieve key information from matters or contracts and view a summary directly in the chat, with a link to open the full details in LawVu.

You can query and view matter and contract records with Copilot across Teams and Microsoft 365 apps, including desktop, web, and mobile platforms.

LawVu’s integration with Copilot enables businesses to securely query records and take actions using natural language, providing access to their legal repository from anywhere.

Who is it for

Any LawVu user with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license who wants to quickly access information in LawVu, without leaving Microsoft 365 tools.

How to get it

If you have a Copilot license, you can start using the integration now:

  1. Install the latest Microsoft Teams app (or use the web version). Check this article for instructions: How to install the LawVu app from Microsoft Teams.

  2. Ensure your organization has a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, and that relevant team members have their own user licenses.

What prompts can I use

With Copilot, you can use natural language to ask questions without being restricted by specific keywords.

Here are some examples:

  • Get matters from LawVu related to data privacy

  • Show me my LawVu matters

  • Show me details about a LawVu matter called ABC

  • Show me all my LawVu matters which have a due date next week

  • Show me all matters assigned to Geoff

  • Get contract NDA for Microsoft with status Open

  • Get all open contracts from LawVu which are due next week

Pricing

The integration is free of charge for our clients.

What’s coming next

We’re working on the ability for users to use Copilot to take actions, for example creating and assigning matters, and approving contracts, querying matters in Intake and assigning them to a legal team member.
