Clear your cache to remedy glitches in LawVu

Here are the instructions on how to clear your cache:


How to clear cache for the LawVu website

By following these steps, you should be able to clear the cache for the LawVu website without affecting the cache for other sites you visit.

1. Open LawVu in your web browser: Launch LawVu in the web browser you usually access it. This could be Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or any other browser of your choice.

2. Access Developer Tools: Right-click on the LawVu page and select "Inspect" to open Developer Tools.

3. Clear Cache: Right-click on the refresh icon near the URL bar and choose "Empty cache and hard reload."

If you're using Safari and need to clear the cache for the LawVu website only:

  1. Open Safari: Launch the Safari browser on your device.

  2. Go to LawVu Website: Enter the LawVu website's URL in the address bar and navigate to the site.

  3. Access Developer Tools: Press Option + Command + C on your keyboard to open Safari's Developer Tools.

  4. Clear Cache: In the Developer Tools window, go to the "Storage" tab. Find and select "Cache" in the left sidebar, then right-click on any LawVu-related entries and choose "Clear."


How to clear cache in Chrome

  1. Click the three-vertical-dot button in the top right of the browser.

  2. At the top right, click More Tools.

  3. Click Clear browsing data.

  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.

  5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the box.

  6. Click Clear data.

  7. Reload LawVu.


How to clear cache in Firefox

  1. Click the three-line Menu button in the top right of the browser.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select the Privacy & Security option from the menu panel on the left.

  4. Scroll down and click Clear Data.

  5. Remove the check-mark in front of "Cookies and Site Data".

  6. Tick Cached Web Content and click the Clear button.

  7. Reload LawVu


How to clear cache in Edge

  1. Click on the 3-dot menu button in the top-right corner of your browser and click on Settings.

  2. Select the Privacy, search, and services option and under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.

  3. Select the time range for which you'd like your browsing data cleared. Ensure both Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files are ticked.

  4. Click Clear now and reload LawVu.



How to clear cache in Safari

Step 1: Open Safari

Launch the Safari browser on your device. You can typically find it in the Applications folder or on your Dock (if you have it pinned).

Step 2: Access the Preferences

In the top menu bar, click on "Safari" and then select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can use the shortcut "Command + ," (comma) to directly open the Preferences.

Step 3: Open the Privacy tab

Within the Preferences window, navigate to the "Privacy" tab located at the top.

Step 4: Manage website data

Under the Privacy tab, click on the button labeled "Manage Website Data."

Step 5: Remove all website data

A new window will appear, displaying a list of websites and their associated data. To remove all cached data, click on the "Remove All" button.

Step 6: Confirm the action

A pop-up dialog will appear, asking if you want to remove the data. Click on the "Remove Now" button to confirm.

Step 7: Clear other browsing data (optional)

If you want to clear additional browsing data like history, cookies, and other stored information, you can go back to the "Privacy" tab and click on the "Remove All Website History" button or adjust other settings as needed.

Step 8: Close Preferences

After clearing the cache and any other desired data, close the Preferences window by clicking on the red "x" button at the top-left corner.

Note: The steps outlined here are based on Safari version 14.1. The process may vary slightly depending on the version you are using.
