Hi there 👋,

Welcome to the InsideVu! We’ll share new AI-powered capabilities to help you capture and manage contract data more effectively, plus improvements that make LawVu more intuitive and efficient to use every day.

PS: Previous versions of The InsideVu are available in the Help Center. Please give us 5 minutes of feedback here to help improve our communications and announcements.

Kind regards,

The LawVu Team

Enhanced AI contract extraction

Introducing an enhanced AI contract data extraction experience that makes capturing, reviewing, and managing contract data in LawVu faster and more intuitive.

You can configure up to 30 data points to capture the clauses most relevant to your team in two key ways:

1. Extract contract data on upload

As contracts are uploaded, LawVu’s secure AI automatically extracts key data and populates your LawVu fields, reducing manual data entry and improving data accuracy.

  • Extract and auto-populate key data from one or multiple contracts

  • Jump straight to the extracted clauses for faster review

2. Keep contract data up to date with new versions

When you upload a new version of an existing contract, AI can re-run extraction to identify and reflect clause changes, keeping your repository current.

  • See suggested changes where clauses have been updated

  • Review and confirm updates before saving

  • Maintain a clean, reliable source of truth across contract versions

All of this is powered by LawVu’s SOC and ISO-compliant, embedded AI service. Your data stays within your region, is never accessible to third parties, and is not used to train AI models.

Enhanced AI contract data extraction is available at no additional cost for customers with Workspace Intelligence enabled. If you’re unsure whether this is enabled for your organization, please contact your Org Admin.

Improved visibility on the Planner

See ownership at a glance
Task avatars now display on each item, making it instantly clear who’s responsible without opening each task.

Focus on your work in one click
A new task filter lets you toggle between All tasks and Tasks assigned to me. This makes it easy to shift from a team-wide view to a personal action list.

Pick up right where you left off
Persistent views remember your last selected filter and layout, so the Planner opens exactly as you left it. No more resetting views.

Enhanced invoice grids

We’ve expanded the invoice grid to provide richer LSP and matter context directly within all spend views.

Previously, users often had to switch between spend and matter grids to reconcile information or build internal reports. Now, commonly requested LSP and matter fields are available to be added to the invoice grid, making it easier to review invoices, answer stakeholder questions, and run accurate reports without manual cross-referencing.

Note: Privacy settings for restricted or private matters will be maintained, and information from these matters will not be displayed in the invoice grid.

Clearer sub-navigation experience

We’ve refreshed the sub-navigation to make it clearer and easier to navigate to your saved grid views.

What’s new:

  1. A cleaner, more modern look to reduce clutter

  2. Clearer item counts for better at-a-glance awareness

  3. More room for longer names

Faster access to manage field values

Previously, updating options for fields like Region or Department meant leaving the Field Editor and navigating elsewhere to find them.

Now, a “Manage field values” link appears in the modal when editing a reference field, taking you straight to the right place.

Less back-and-forth, faster updates, and a smoother field management experience.

Get more from your Google Drive integration

When you sync the Files tab with Google Drive, any synced Google Docs can be opened and edited within LawVu using our built-in Google Docs integration.

It works much like Word Online, allowing you to view and edit documents in the browser so you can collaborate and make updates without downloading files or switching between platforms.

Upcoming webinar: Mastering Microsoft Word: Styles, structure, and stress-free formatting

Our Microsoft Word webinar is back by popular demand! This time, it’s packed with even more tips and tricks – and it’s CLE-eligible through In-House Connect.

If you missed it the first time (or want a refresher that counts toward your CLE credits), this is your chance.

Join LawVu experts Maarten Truyens and Ali Meredith at 3 PM ET / 12 PM PT on March 11 to learn how to start using Word more efficiently and confidently.

They’ll share practical tips tailored to in-house legal professionals, including:

  • How to build (and maintain) clean document structure so sections, headings, and numbering behave

  • Styles and formatting tactics that keep templates consistent across a team

  • Troubleshooting common Word problems in legal workflows

  • A take-home manual for setting up formatting and paragraph styles

Can’t make it live? No problem. Register anyway, and we’ll send you the recording.
