Q3 in review: the biggest updates ✨
LawVu Lens
Lens turns individual agreements into a structured, searchable view of obligations across your whole repository, using categories built by legal experts. Pick a category, such as change of control, liability, or data protection, or build your own. Lens then checks every contract you’ve signed and pulls out the relevant clauses, what triggers them, and the terms that apply. Results land in a grid you can filter and export, with each result linked back to its source clause. Learn more about LawVu Lens.
Enhanced LawVu Assistant
LawVu Assistant is now context-aware, knowing the matter, invoice, or agreement you’re in, so its answers reflect the full picture. It also fills in new matter forms for you and flags likely duplicates. You can build your own skills so that the Assistant's responses align with your playbooks and preferred style.
Enhanced invoice management
Managing invoices in LawVu has just got a lot more seamless. Set up accounting codes to give finance cleaner data and richer reporting, and the improved flexible invoice approval workflows can handle even the most complex workflows to ensure total alignment with how your business works.
AI platform connectors
If you’re using Claude, ChatGPT, or Codex, you can connect your AI tools to LawVu in a few clicks. Once connected, you can search matters and contracts, analyze agreements, and get status summaries using your own legal data. Role-based permissions keep every interaction secure and auditable. Contract renewal
Contract renewal brings renewal settings into the contract header, giving your team more visibility and control over renewals.
Set each contract's renewal type and LawVu does the rest: calculating notice deadlines, rolling expiry dates forward on autorenewal and reminding the right people in time. No more chasing renewal dates by hand.
Meet Draft Assistant, your new starting point in LawVu Draft
Doc Chat is now Draft Assistant, and it’s the first thing you’ll see when you open LawVu Draft. Just tell it what you’re working on, and it’ll help you get there faster.
What’s new:
Right where you start: Draft Assistant now lives on the Draft homepage, so help is on hand the moment you open Draft.
Bring more of your context: Add Excel, PowerPoint and email files alongside Word and PDF. Emails include their attachments, so you can drop in a whole negotiation thread, previous contract version and all, in one go.
The fastest route to the right result: Describe your task and Draft Assistant will either help directly or guide you to the best tool for the job, like Playbooks or Templates.
A fresh new look: A cleaner design that’s consistent with the rest of your LawVu workspace.
Send approved invoices to finance on schedule
Once an outside counsel invoice is approved, it still needs to reach finance to get paid. AP invoice routing takes care of that step for you, sending approved invoices from LawVu straight to your finance team's system, so nothing gets stuck in between.
Standardized format: Approved invoices are delivered as flat files in a consistent, documented format, so your finance team maps them once to their system and you're set.
Scheduled: Approved invoices arrive on a schedule you set, such as daily.
Enterprise-ready: Fits alongside the finance batch processes you already run in Coupa, Oracle Fusion, PeopleSoft, SAP and more.
The context finance needs: Include up to 15 matter fields and accounting codes with each invoice.
CSV over SFTP: Invoices are sent as CSV files to a secure SFTP location, so your finance or IT team can pick them up with the tools they already have.
