LawVu's legal workspace offers easy-to-understand reports and key metrics for all legal workflows that allow legal leaders to access important data easily.

Depending on your needs, LawVu offers multiple options to analyze your data:


Standard Reporting

Basic pre-defined reporting inside LawVu to help see where your legal work and team are at a glance.

Here is what you need to know:

  • It is free.

  • Offers visual, interactive dashboards to answer key questions about your workspace data.

  • Depending on your subscription, you'll gain access to information on Matters, Contracts, Spend, and Admin.

  • Access reporting and insights directly from the LawVu application, eliminating the need for another BI tool.

  • Drill down, sort, and filter data to focus on what matters most to you. Save reports as PDF files or download them as Excel files to create your own metrics and graphs.

  • Enjoy twice-daily data refreshes, ensuring you always have the most accurate and up-to-date information for precise reporting.

  • Covers standard fields only

Experience the ease of understanding your legal workspace's dynamics with LawVu's Standard Reporting.

Standard Reporting highlights vital metrics for legal teams, yet it operates within limitations. It does not include custom fields, and users cannot personalize the reporting dashboards. If you want to build bespoke dashboards and combine them with non-LawVu data, our recommendation is Insights Connect.


Insights Connect

Maximize the value of your LawVu data by integrating it into your broader data and analytics ecosystem.

Here is what you need to know:

  • It is a paid standalone product that you can add to your LawVu legal workspace subscription.

  • Best used to access and connect LawVu data to your analytical tools of choice and build your own dashboards.

  • Pre-modeled data sets make it easy for you to leverage your LawVu data for a wide variety of use cases: combine with other data, build bespoke dashboards and reports, integrate into AI and machine learning platforms, and more.

  • It is built on Databrick’s Delta Sharing architecture to ensure security, privacy, integrity, and efficient distribution of shared data.

  • Data is shared in the form of a Delta Table and can be accessed via several connectors or programmatically via code using tools and platforms such as Pandas, Databricks, Apache Spark, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • LawVu standard fields and custom fields are included.

Insights Designer

Bespoke visual dashboards based on your requirements

Here is what you need to know:

  • It is a paid product that you can add to your LawVu legal workspace subscription. Customers using Insights Designer will require Insights Connect.

  • Can be designed and built by LawVu. Insights fields and views are entirely customizable across Matters, Contracts, Fees, Tasks, etc. - we will work with you to define what is needed.

  • Save reports as PDF files or download them as Excel files to create your own metrics and graphs.

  • Professional services will support you through the process and set everything up for you to then manage your reporting in-house whenever you want.

  • On-going support and changes able to be made via our Professional Services team as, or when, your needs change.

  • Can include all LawVu and custom fields.
