A year in review

2022 was a massive year for LawVu and our customer community. Learn more about it, and get insight into our plans for 2023, from our CEO and Co-founder Sam Kidd.

Feature Tiles for Business Portal

The Business Portal removes bottlenecks by empowering business users to self-serve and create more structured requests for the legal team. Now there's a new way to easily customize the Business Portal to help users find their way through specific workflows. With the new feature tiles, you can:

  • Guide people to workflows and resources by linking them to specific matter types, contract types, articles or forms

  • Choose 1, 2 or 3 things that you want to feature on the Business Portal and decide on their order

  • Edit the icons, terms and phrasing

Security enhancements

With mounting issues around data privacy and security, it is crucial for legal teams to ensure data remains protected and privacy regulations are adhered to. Lawvu's unparalleled commitment to security and compliance continues with advanced new features that let LawVu administrators put stricter security settings in place. Now you can:

1. Automatically log users out of LawVu after a certain period of inactivity

By default, LawVu logs users out of the application automatically after 24 hours of inactivity. Now you can align with your organization’s security policy and set a timeout period from a minimum of 15 minutes to a maximum of 12 hours. Get in touch with your Customer Success Manager if you want to have this enabled for your organization.

2. Prevent sensitive information in external communications

Sensitive information such as email addresses and associated conversations can now be restricted from email correspondence, preventing unauthorized access to private data and staying compliant to privacy regulations.

People picker enhancements

One of the most common actions in LawVu is adding individuals to matters and contract, mentioning them in conversations, adding them to approval workflows... so we have made it easier for you to do! Now you can identify people who are eligible to be selected from the result list and those who do not have the right permissions to be selected.

You're spending a lot of time with matter and contract grids and giving us great feedback. We have used them to improve your efficiency and experience! The latest enhancements are:

  • You can add new columns such as "executed date", "creation method" "feedback score" and the person who submitted it

  • Business users are now able to view the ‘Other Party’ column in their contracts grid
